(June 5, 2026) Originally released in 1988, Don’t Be Cruel marked a major moment in late-1980s R&B, helping bring New Jack Swing’s mix of R&B, hip-hop, funk and electronic production to a wider audience.
The album established Bobby Brown as one of the era’s leading solo performers and produced several signature hits, including “My Prerogative,” “Don’t Be Cruel,” “Every Little Step,” “Roni” and “Rock Wit’cha.”
Brown will revisit the landmark album during a special anniversary concert on July 10, 2026, presenting songs from Don’t Be Cruel alongside additional selections from his catalog. The show is expected to highlight the music, choreography and stage energy associated with Brown’s breakthrough solo era, while also offering fans a broader look at his career.
Doors open at 6:00 PM, with showtime at 8:00 PM.
