UK pop and soul singer Maxine Nightingale burst onto the music scene in the late 1960s as part of the stage production of Hair. But it was her work a few years later as a solo singing artist that brought her to fame. Her biggest hit was 1975’s bouncy “Right Back Where We Started From,” and she returned to the top 10 three years later with the soft ballad “Lead Me On.”
Maxine continues to perform around the world.
