Victor Fields

The son of a Julliard-trained musician mother, Victor Fields grew up in a house of music.  Despite his natural inclination toward a singing career, Fields took a "safer" job in business in the Bay Area.  But he spent many nights at local clubs and ultimately made the plunge to become a singer/songwriter.

Fields’ debut album, Promise, was produced by legendary writer/producer Kashif, and managed to hit the lower ends of the Billboard charts.  He hit the top 20 on the Contemporary Jazz charts with his follow-up, 2002’s 52nd Street, working with producer Chris Camozzi and guest musicians such as Jeff Lorber and Gerald Albright.  Fields continued working the Camozzi and a steady stream of solid guest musicians on 2005’s Victor and 2006’s Thinking of You.
