Three Tenors of Soul

In a dream combination, legendary falsetto lead singers Russell Thompkins, Jr. (the Stylistics), Ted "Wizard" Mills (Blue Magic) and William "Poogie" Hart (The Delfonics) have teamed up with equally noted Philly guitarist/producer Bobbi Eli to form The Three Tenors of Soul.  The brainchild of Eli, the project came together in 2007 with the trio recording a series of cover songs in the Summer with the help of artists such as Hall and Oates and the Average White Band.  The result is All The Way From Philadelphia, released on Shanachie Records on September 25th

The disc will contain covers of classic 70s and 80s material such as AWB’s "A Love Of Your Own," The Bee Gees’ "Too Much Heaven" and Isley/Jasper/Isley’s "Caravan of Love."
