Official Biography
Tabatha Roy, Avista Recording Artist , has had an interest in singing the gospel for quite some time. A native of the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area, Tabatha grew up singing solos at her church and at several special occasions in the area. Tabatha has sung for the Texas State Fair, Lockheed Martin and many times for the Texas Gospel Announcers Guild. She also was a solo finalist for the Inspiration Networks Christian Artist Talent Search (CATS). She captivated and impressed the judges, which included Michelle Williams of Destinys Child, with her high octave range and singing flexibility.

Tabatha has enhanced her talent by incorporating the melodies of jazz, learned from her studying vocals. Her vocal technique, reminiscent of Basia, Natalie Cole, and a twist of Twinkie Clark, has inspired her to bring an innovative jazz-flavored expression to the forefront of gospel. Tabatha is now releasing her first inspirational CD "Worship You". She has teamed up with former NBA player and national recording artist Wayman Tisdale (Rendezvous Records), who produced the project. Also contributing to the project is Carnell Murrell (Artist/Producer), Joe Archie (The Tommies/ Virtue/Smokie Norful), Bobby Sparks (Kirk Franklin), and Ken Kelly (Co-Producer).

Tabatha seeks to invite each listener to know of the joy of Christ. With her spiritual guidance and dream-team of producers, she hopes to capture the world’s attention and then deliver to them a message from God.

"I will sing and make music with all my soul". Psalm 108:1-4
