The band was founded by Israeli-born guitarist Ori Naftaly, who moved to the United States to pursue his musical dreams. He teamed up with powerhouse vocalist Tierinii Jackson, whose commanding stage presence and emotive delivery became a signature of Southern Avenue’s sound. The lineup was rounded out by Tierinii’s sister, Tikyra Jackson, on drums, Jeremy Powell on keyboards, and Evan Sarver on bass.
