Sean Roux’s Latest Album, Letters, the April 2012 e-Release is an eight-song ode to the intimacy of relationships. “Letters began as a study of performance recording and the challenges surrounding trying to capture that moment”, Roux says. The recording sessions with fellow local friends and musicians, nurtured the intimacy required to create that organic snap-shoot of music history (on analog tape), not unlike classic soul artists before him.” With its nostalgic horn arrangements, melodic harmony vocal textures and all of course all live unedited performances, the music projects a raw warmth and sensitivity that reaches into the hearts and minds of both young and old music lovers alike. Vocally, Roux conjures up memories and the vibe of how soul singers used to sound in their heyday.
