Few Unsigned singers can count the music legends that are Gabrielle, Jaki Graham and Beverley Knight to be amongst their fans; but for North East Soul Sensation Sam Dickinson they join a long line of people who have noticed the startling ability and natural talent this gifted singer has.
Over the past 4 years, since his debut at Northern Pride, Sam has worked alongside acts such as Basshunter, Kelis and international songwriter Paul Britt. July 2013 saw the release of his debut album, ‘The Stories That Occurred’, produced by some of the best producers in the UK. Powerful in delivery and emotion, the album showcases traditional MoTown Soul with a modern twist and received rave reviews from the music press on its release, an intimate tour across the UK followed.
Sam is bringing the classic soul sound to a new generation, proving the timelessness of his sound and showing exactly why Happy Monday’s front woman Rowetta says she’s “loves” his music.
Having worked consistently for different charities Sam has now joined forces with Marie Curie to raise awareness of cancer to the British public. He firmly believes in giving back to society, of always viewing the positive in life and, where possible, delivering it with a kick ass soul beat sung from the heart.
