Philadelphia-born musician Nick Mundy first came to the public’s attention as the lead singer and guitarist the Beck Family,a disco-funk ensemble composed of Mundy and his cousins that was signed to London Records. They charted with their 1979 track “Can’t Shake the Feeling.”

Mundy later became musical director for Sister Sledge during the early 80s, and his star rose as a songwriter and producer. His biggest hit was Chico DeBarge’s “Talk to Me,” but he also wrote for Sheena Easton, Jeffrey Osborne, Eric Benet, Alexander O’Neal and others.

Venturing into a solo career, Mundy released the charting single “Ain’t It All Right” in 1984. His album Your Kinda Guy followed in 1988 under Warner Bros., along with the single “Trade Him In” Wikipedia.

In 2007, Mundy released the album Just Songs. Over the next decade and a half, he continued exploring new sounds, including a couple of country-influenced releases. Most recently, he dropped the single “Show Me A Sign” in April 2023.
