MJ Robinson was born into a Christian home in Pontiac, MI, in August of 1983. At the age of 11, MJ and his family moved to Highland Park, MI.
Robinson has been singing and playing the piano since the age of six. MJ was very involved in activities relative to his church, particularly musical endeavors such as the church choir, singing in different groups to now being an incredible solo artist who is taking full advantage of every opportunity to display the pure God given talent he possesses.
He even participated in an ROTC program, which given his musical talent, he was given an opportunity to create his own arrangement of the National Anthem.
Currently, MJ is an independent artist in every since of the word, and he’s working on his second album with Silent Riot Entertainment.
MJ’s CD, “Ghetto Lullaby” on Silent Riot Entertainment, is a music enthusiast’s dream. Songs about love, romance, relationships, and life challenges is a welcome change from the music today that lacks his sheer ingenuity. MJ’s talent is raw, and touches the heart and soul of those who have the pleasure of hearing the inner thoughts and feelings of MJ Robinson through his music.
Since the launch of “Ghetto Lullaby” in 2010, MJ has had the incredible opportunity to open for other true artists such as Dwele, Jay-Holiday, SisQo (Dru Hill), Yo Gotti, Ray-J, Monica Blaire, The Dramatics and Anthony David. He has received glowing reviews from the artists who’ve heard him, and everyone that has had the MJ Robinson experience have no doubt that he has a bright future ahead of him.
