A once quiet teenager forms his own style, independent of others perceptions and judgments. Years removed from a stereotypical young black man, Michael James carries on the bravado and pride that comes with not only coming from the ghetto but making it out. It is with this mindset that he sings emotional ballads of love; depicts life in the hood with raw humanness and also lightens the mood with seductive R&B gems; making sure you not only never forget where he’s from but also reminding you perhaps of where you come from as well.
