Born and raised in Seattle, Washington, the city that spawned legends Jimi Hendrix and Quincy Jones, Kimberly’Nichole has always had a talent for music and lyrics. She began singing as a toddler, learning to play the clarinet at ten and writing songs before she even hit her teens. Motivated to experience life outside of her hometown after high school, she enrolled at Atlanta, Georgia’s Spelman College, one of the top liberal arts institutions of higher learning for women.

Atlanta provided Kimberly’Nichole an opportunity for academic growth, but simultaneously fueled her passion and flair for music. Her personality and energy have brought out the best in bands of all genres. She’s complimented the likes of hip hop/R&B band, Sol Factor and the ol’ school soul sounds of The Heit Band. Part of her allure is due in part to her exceptional writing ability. When you combine vibrant vocals with a penchant for going against the grain, you gain the musical stylings of the dynamic soul stirring songstress known as Kimberly’Nichole.

Kimberly’Nichole is blazing a trail with her live performances having, graced the stage at many of Atlanta’s most popular music venues, including Apache Café and SugarHill. She has brought  crowds to their feet at P. Diddy’s famous Atlanta restaurant, Justin’s, and has been billed with some of the best neo soul and R&B artists on the underground scene, including Dwele, Bilal, Eric Roberson, Rahbi, Darien Brockington and Janelle Monae. Her collaborations have taken her into the studio with Eminem’s Shady Record’s artist Bobby Creekwater. She also took the Atlantis Music Conference Showcase by storm, emerging as one of the frontrunners during this coveted event for top artists in the Southeast.

No stranger to the eye of the media, Kimberly’Nichole has been featured on the website of Atlanta’s number 1 station for R&B, V-103, sparking resident DJ, Miss Sophia, to say "The person you all need to watch out for is the young lady by the name of Kimberly’Nichole. Please don’t sleep on this young lady!" Syndicated blogger, j. brotherlove has said of her performance ability, "In addition to having a great voice, Kimberly’s arrangements are creative and she knows a thing or two about stage presence."

Her increasing popularity and the demand for her refreshing sound have motivated Kimberly’Nichole to take on a music revolution as the "Leader of the Young Soul Movement." It is evident that she is able to embody the meaning and message found in old school music. Using an innate talent for her craft she makes it seem so simple to creatively take rhythms complimented by poetic ballads to tell stories that evoke emotions of love, inspire reflections on life and touch younger generations in a positive way through song.

Kimberly’Nichole is a star on the rise with skills that command respect from fans as well as the entertainment industry. She is living her purpose through her art, putting pen to paper and the microphone to her mouth with a determination and desire that can’t be ignored. Having already taken her music, literally, from coast to coast, she will continue to introduce those yearning for something new to the Young Soul Movement.
