Quick Look:

Born: April 29, 1961

Johnny Britt is a singer, trumpeter, songwriter and producer who has made a name for himself both in support of acts like the Temptations and Josh Groban and as one half of the former R&B/jazz duo, Impromp2.

Britt has served as the musical director for the Temptations and has written several songs for the group. His 2011 composition, “Contact,” was a chart-topper for jazzman Boney James. And Britt currently serves on tour with Josh Groban.

In 2011 Britt remained busier than ever. He independently released the album Feels So Good, the first single from which is “Beautiful Queen.”  Britt is also appearing in the new movie Water for Elephants and is serving as the musical director for America Sings on the GMC Network.
