Singer/songwriter/guitarist Jeremy James has been seemingly everywhere over the past few years, performing regularly on the East Coast and landing songs on a number of projects. But while he’s been racking up fans and notice among soul music enthusiasts, he’s yet to release his full debut album. But that drought is about to end.
Antiguan born and the son of a singer and grandson of a guitarist, Jeremy landed his first major gig as lead guitarist for Atlantic Starr soon after graduating from college. Since then, he has been a fixture on the New York club circuit, both backing other artists and more recently as a solo singer. His songs have been spotlighted on the TV movies Life Support (HBO) and Violation (Showtime), and he performed a duet with Angela Johnson on her great 2005 album Got To Let It Go.
In 2006 James worked extensively on his debut album, For You, an autobiographical album that is slated for independent release in Summer 2007.
