Every City Has Its Claim To Fame And Virginia Beach Is No Exception. Jeai (Pronounced "Jay"), Is The Kind Of R&B Singer That’s Sought After By The Likes Of Chauncy Black, Faith Evans, Boyz II Men, Corina Katt and Gerald Levert. Jeai Was Signed To Atlantic Records And Is Striking Out On His Own.
R&B is more than a musical genre to Jeai. Rhythm and Blues pumps Jeai’s heart full of music and melody. Vocally, Jeai’s sound is clear, strong and impassioned; no auto tune needed here. Jeai understands and appreciates people who struggle and take risks. He particularly admires the way Madonna risked everything in her life, moved to New York and worked hard to secure her place in the music industry. Hard work, determination and a love of people are qualities that move Jeai in voice and spirit.
"Callin’ Out Your Name" is a song that stays with you. The melody is light with hip bumping rhythms. Jeai adds punch to the lyrics with his zeal for singing. In the background, finger snaps add an old school feel while the keyboard sprinkles chords throughout. Jeai’s phrasing gives the track a contemporary fresh edge. Slick acoustic guitar licks treat your ears to a buffet of sound.
Grab Jeai’s iPod and you’ll find a sophisticated variety of music. His playlist includes Maroon 5, Jason Mraz, Boyz II Men, 3 Doors Down, Aaliyah, Aerosmith, Bob Marley and the Beatles. Given the opportunity Jeai would love to continue his work with Tyrone Corbett, producer of "Callin’ Out Your Name." Eminem and Timbaland are on the top of Jeai’s list of musicians he’d love to work with in the future.
Jeai’s desire to succeed goes beyond the perks of fame. He wants to provide a comfortable life for his son and be able to "buy a heart" for his father who suffers from congestive heart failure. Jeai has been quoted to say that his father, "is the best man I’ll ever know."
