The younger sister of the famous Jackson brothers, Janet Jackson paved her own way to become arguably the family’s biggest star.  Working with hit producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis over a 20+ year period, she scored influential hit after hit.

Janet burst onto the scene in the early 80s with a self-titled debut album that hinted at the talent that lay ahead. But it was her third album, Control, that cemented her status as a force to be reckoned with. This album was a game-changer, with hits like “What Have You Done For Me Lately” and “Nasty” showcasing her fierce independence and unapologetic attitude. “Control” went on to sell over ten million copies worldwide and earned her four Grammy nominations.

But Janet didn’t stop there. Her follow-up album, Rhythm Nation 1814, was a masterpiece that fused pop, R&B, and socially conscious lyrics into an instant classic. This album shattered records, becoming the first album in history to have seven singles reach the top five on the Billboard Hot 100.

Beyond her musical achievements, Janet has also made a mark in film and television, proving her versatility and range as an actress in movies like “Poetic Justice” and “Nutty Professor II: The Klumps.”

Her keen sense of the market along with her nifty dancing and natural beauty have made her one of the most popular artists of the past four decades. And she shows no signs of stopping.
