Gene Chandler

A Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member, Chandler was one of the pioneers of R&B, and has had a career that has spanned many years and styles of music. He is best known for his early hit, “Duke of Earl,” and for his smooth 70s smash, “Groovy Situation.” Bue he also had a string of other notable hits, including “Rainbow,” “Just Be True,” and “Nothing Can Stop Me.” His talent as a songwriter also helped to establish the Chicago soul sound that emerged in the 60s and 70s.
