EK Rogers hails from the Washington, DC area and is a 2019 National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame Honoree (The Tom Joyner Radio Personality Award), radio personality, promoter, speaker and a very funny and entertaining individual!
I personally had the pleasure of meeting EK in 2016, we both were co-host on a weekly radio show, that he had lent his talents to for over a decade, bringing his dynamic humor and style, never missing a beat. To know EK is to love him. His laughter and smile are like sunshine on rainy days and rainbows you find through life’s storms. He is a breath of fresh air.
Now, I will say that Mr. Rogers will go the distance with you in any conversation and on any topic, he’s not afraid to learn something new and passes on his knowledge and experiences to others.
One of the things I have come to appreciate about EK is his passion for Soul and Rhythm & Blues music and the respect and honor he gives to the artists. He listens, learns and revels in the history, and follows up with questions in order to fully understand even more the journey of the artists that have put forth dynamic music that we all still love today.
EK has also co-hosted The National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame for several years and served as co-host (along with the legendary Spyder Turner), for radio personality, David Washington’s 25 Year Celebration of The 20 Grand Revue Show in August of 2025. Mr. Rogers has been asked to speak at several events and continues to lend his voice and gifts throughout the entertainment industry.
EK has been in the company of people such as the late Mary Wilson of The Supremes, the late Joe Jackson and the Reverend Jesse Jackson just to name a few. With each encounter, EK shines and reels more people famous and non-famous, into his web of humor, wit and wisdom.
I have dubbed him “The Diamond Voice” because of his gift for gab, whether he is hosting a show, speaking at a college or just one on one conversation, EK Rogers has a gift and passion for what he loves; entertaining and making the world laugh and think all at the same time. “The Diamond Voice”, one you definitely should experience.
