DBJ began his professional music career at a young age. His formative training began at the age of 7 with piano and he developed his performance and vocal skills in church. He attended both the middle school and high school of the performing arts. In

2005 he attended Florida Atlantic University where he studied Commercial Music. DBJr began performing at local Open Mic nights and was one of the founding members of his band Dep Groov/The DeepGroove. Within 4yrs DBJ (formerly known as Danny B) had performed at the Kravis Center of the performing arts, signed onto Hoot Wisdom Recordings (Florida Atlantic University record label), opened for Mario, David Banner and Ludacris, and performed at many local events big and small. He also released his 1st E.P through Hoot Wisdom Recordings called “Luv Sick”.

The Value of Legacy

From 2011- March 2017 DBJr took a hiatus from the music business to build a family and reevaluate how he wanted to pursue music. He states “That period of time was one of great soul searching to help me determine my real purpose for pursuing music, business, and life. I never want to be working hard without passion. I praise God I took that time because it gave me a greater level of perspective.”

Where is he now?

DBJr is taking the Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade Countys’ music scene’s by storm! He released his 1st single “C.I.M: Caught in the Middle” in August of 2018, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th singles “MGRX: Mystery Girl”, “The New Classic”, and “Red Rose” in 2019 is currently performing throughout South-Florida, hosting a YouTube TV show “How Dreams Come True”, and releasing several recording projects this year including 2 more singles and 1 album “Endless Possibilities Vol. 1”. DBJr also creates music for feature films, writes music for TV and commercials, and collaborates with local artists. DBJr states, “My goal is to bring value to the world of music, business and overall society. It is so important and relevant in

the current age that we live in, to be more community oriented and people oriented instead of self-centered growth.” Follow him on all his social media platforms, go out to his events, or just meet him.
