Rooted in the fertile grounds of Oakland, California, Ajuana (a-wa-na) has groomed her innate talent for the stage by starring in musicals such as Dream Girls (Lorrell), which included Dorian Wilson from the hit sitcom The Parkers, Go Down Garvey, which included Sharon Neal who recently played in the movie Dream Girls as well as the Tyler Perry movie, Why Did I get Married? Once On This Island (Timoune), & Aint Misbehavin’ (Charlene)!Ajuana continues her trailblazing stage career by finishing up a one-woman developmental tour play entitled Queen Calafia, Ruler of California, written & produced by African-American historian John Templeton!
