New York City native Aaron Hall first gained prominence as the lead vocalist of the iconic R&B group Guy, which he co-founded with his brother, Damion Hall, and producer Teddy Riley in 1988. Guy’s self-titled debut album, featuring hits like “Groove Me” and “Teddy’s Jam,” played a significant role in defining the New Jack Swing era of the late ’80s and early ’90s.
Following his success with Guy, Aaron Hall embarked on a solo career, releasing his debut album, The Truth, in 1993. The album, which included the #1 hit single “Don’t Be Afraid” and the #2 “I Miss You.” showcased his distinctive voice and showed him to be a talent both within and outside the iconic group. He followed it with Inside of You in 1998, scoring another top 10 hit with “All The Places (I Will Kiss You).”
