February 6, 2023 – Welcome back to Another Groove, our series dedicated to new music that is neither pure soul nor R&B but includes elements of those genres and may please your ears. This week we feature the track “Labels” by Blue Lab Beats featuring Tiana Major9 and Kofi Stone.
Blue Lab Beats are a London-based “jazztronica duo” whose music is a delightful mix of jazz, hip hop, soul, funk and R&B. They released last year their third full-length LP, Motherland Journey, and are augmented on our featured track by 2 prodigious fellow UK musicians: Major9, a honey-voiced, alt-R&B artist who is no stranger to SoulTrackers, and Stone, a gifted rapper who debuted to critical acclaim in 2019. The groove and flow of this track are undeniable and so very on point. Enjoy.
