Produced by the visionary Meshell Ndegeocello and Team, the project brings together an extraordinary ensemble of artists to honor Mr. King’s life, music, and immortal impact.
Released in 1975, the original Lucille Talks Back stands as one of B.B. King’s most soulful and emotionally rich recordings — a masterwork that fused Rhythm & Soul with his signature style of blues in ways that have never been fully appreciated by the mainstream. Despite its brilliance, the album never received widespread distribution, and its entirety is not found on major streaming platforms, leaving it largely unknown to the audiences it deserves. This album will be released June 26, 2026.
