We’ve been fans on soul singer supreme Karen Bernod from the jump at SoulTracks. She has been a fixture in the music world for more than three decades, both as a background singer (Mary J Blige, Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross) and 20 feet forward on the stage as a solo artist. And every time she issues new music, it’s a treat for the SoulTracks gang.
Karen has a brand new album called Iris, and it is all that. Both her single releases from the project, “Rain On My Star” and the new “VR,” have connected with SoulTrackers, as her longtime fans — and some new ones — are experiencing this tremendous performer, whose music beautifully combines the new and the classic.
