(June 4, 2022) SoulTrackers may have first heard of singer and songwriter Nikkole when she performed with Norman Brown on the song “You Keep Lifting Me Higher,” but she has been delivering solid R&B and dance music for nearly a decade.
Now, Nikkole brings in both legendary producer Leon Sylvers III to handle the boards, and his son, Leon Sylvers IV, to duet on the steamy ballad, “We Can Make It If We Try.” With a “Fire and Desire” feel to it, “We Can Make It” is a throwback in the best kind of way: emotional, dramatic and well performed by all involved. One of the best blue-lights-in-the-basement ballads we’ve heard in awhile.
