Red hot pop and soul singer Bruno Mars is back, and he’s helping UK producer Mark Ronson (most famous for his work with Amy Winehouse) on the hot new single, “Uptown Funk.” The first impression that comes to mind is the Minneapolis sound embodied by Prince, Morris Day and The Time, but the song also has inspirational elements from, Zapp, James Brown, George Clinton, The Gap Band and many others – it could easily have been a release from back in the day with its almighty horn riffs. The single is first release from  Ronson's upcoming album, Uptown Special.

Earlier this year, Bruno Mars appeared at The  Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show and many thought he stole the show alongside the Chili Peppers. Mars also has a basketful of hits under his belt such as ''Treasure'' and "When I Was Your Man," but this foray into a glorious funk sound is a nice turn for the talented young singer.

The video for this hot song just came out and it is our newest SoulTracks First Look. Check it out below and tell us what you think of this hot combination.
